More than 1,000 people joined us in person or via livestream for our big May event, which included the unveiling of the Bridging the Equity Divide report and a host of distinguished speakers.
It was absolutely brilliant to see so many of you on Monday, and we’ve been overwhelmed by all your positive feedback. Julia Hartley-Brewer didn’t disappoint in putting a jovial spin on proceedings, while Rupert Hume-Kendall, Nikhil Rathi and Jonathan Milner all contributed fascinating insights into the future of the industry.
If you couldn’t make it on Monday, worry not – you can watch the evening’s presentations below:
Julia Hartley-Brewer, current affairs broadcaster and writer, compèred the evening with no holds barred.
Nikhil Rathi, CEO of London Stock Exchange, was next up on stage, presenting some findings from our Bridging the Equity Divide report and what these mean for the future of finance – and the stock exchange.
Rupert Hume-Kendall, legendary City deal-maker and ex-Chairman of Bank of America Merrill Lynch, spoke about his vast industry experience and what’s in store for equity investing in the UK.
Last up were super-angel Jonathan Milner, who told the tale of how he came to be SyndicateRoom’s lead investor, and the company’s co-founders: Gonçalo de Vasconcelos and Tom Britton, who announced that SyndicateRoom would be opening its fundraise to the crowd the following morning, Tuesday 10th May, before going on to answer questions from the audience.
