A Cambridge Angels-backed technology business behind a 'world-first' patented method for recycling laminated materials has turned to crowdfunding to raise £800,000.

Enval, led by managing director Carlow Ludlow, intends to tackle the "increasing problems" presented by materials that are currently unrecyclable or unrecycled with the aim of diverting them from landfill or incineration.

The business, which is raising the investment through equity crowdfunding platform SyndicateRoom, has approximately 60 days to attract a minimum sum of £799,981. At the time of publishing, it had exceeded almost 50 per cent of its target.
