The definition of 'JOBS Act'

The Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act is a law, signed into existence in April 2012, aimed at encouraging funding of small businesses in the United States by easing various securities regulations.

It gives growth companies an alternative to traditional sources of finance such as venture capital. and potentially opens up a huge new pool of investment capital via equity crowdfunding.
